Why Was My Receipt Not Processed or Awarded Points?
There can be a few reasons why a receipt is not able to be processed. To learn more about these reasons, please see the information below!
The Receipt is Too Old
Physical receipts must be submitted within 14 days from the transaction date listed on them. If the receipt is older than 14 calendar days, it is unable to be processed for points.
New users who are just learning their way around the app will have a grace period for submitting older receipts, but after that grace period is over, all receipts will be subject to the 14-day rule!
The Receipt Has Already Been Submitted
As great as it would be to submit those high-value receipts over and over, receipts can only be processed once! If they are submitted more than once, all subsequent submissions will be rejected and will not earn points for your account.
If you have a receipt that was unable to be processed due to it already being submitted, and you are certain you have not submitted that receipt before, it's possible that a friend or family member who also uses Fetch submitted the receipt. The Type of Receipt Is Not Eligible
While we want to be able to accept as many receipts as we can, there are still some that can not be processed for points. Types of receipts that are still not able to be processed would include:
- Receipts from returning an item
- Utility & Medical bills/invoices, and prescription refill slips
- Movie/Concert/Experience tickets
- Airline tickets and baggage receipt tags
- ATM and wire transfer transactions
- Take out food slips that do not specifically detail where they are from
Receipts from Wholesale Product Distributors(excluding Club stores) are accepted, but will only be awarded 25 base points when submitted.
You've Reached the Weekly Limit
You have the opportunity to submit up to 35 receipts over a 7-day period! This limit only applies to physical receipts, so if you are trying to submit more than 35 within a week, you may need to wait to submit more. For more information, please see this article: Receipt Snapping Limit
The Receipt Submission is Missing Information
In order for a receipt to successfully process, certain information needs to be present in the snapped photo(s):
- Store name
- Checkout date
- Checkout time
- Total spent

Your App is Outdated
If you are not using the most up-to-date version of the Fetch app, it's possible you are missing out on a lot of great functionality! Try checking your app store for updates for your Fetch app and then submitting your receipt again if an update was needed.
