Using Custom Referral Codes
How Custom Codes Work
You can create a unique referral code to share with friends, family, or on social media. When someone uses your code during signup and meets all referral requirements, both of you will receive points. Points typically appear within 72 hours after a qualifying receipt is scanned.
Accessing and Creating a Custom Code
Not all users will see the custom code feature immediately. It is currently being rolled out to users who have referred 10 or more people. Make sure your app is updated to the latest version to access the feature as it becomes available.
Guidelines for Creating a Code
When choosing a custom code:
- Only use letters, numbers, and these special characters: [_, -, !, #, $]. Avoid all other symbols or spaces.
- Do not include offensive, misleading, or brand-imitating words.
- Keep in mind that codes are first-come, first-serve. If someone else has already claimed it, you'll need to try a different variation.
- Once created, a custom referral code can be changed only once every 180 days. When you update your custom code:
- The previous version remains active for 90 days to ensure a smooth transition.
- Your original, autogenerated referral code will also remain active indefinitely, so friends can always use it even if you update or change your custom code.
