Earning Points from Online Purchases

Earning Points from Online Purchases

You can earn points from online purchases in three different ways: Linked Offers, Fetch Shop, and eReceipts. Each works a little differently, and some can be used together.

Linked Offers

Linked Offers let you earn points by shopping through special links in the Fetch app.

How it works
Tap “Shop Now” on an offer and complete your purchase through the in-app browser.

How points are awarded

  • Some offers require you to submit an eReceipt to earn points.
  • Others award points automatically on a delay (may take up to 14 days).

Key takeaway: Linked Offers do not earn Fetch Shop points. Depending on the offer, you may need to submit an eReceipt or wait for points to be awarded automatically, so be sure to check the offer details.

Fetch Shop

Fetch Shop rewards you for shopping online at participating retailers through the Fetch app.

How it works:

  • Shop through Fetch at a participating retailer.
  • Earn points based on how much you spend.
  • Points are awarded on a delay after purchase (timing varies by retailer).

Bonus opportunity:

  • Some purchases generate an eReceipt that can be scanned if the retailer is eligible.
  • If eligible, you can scan that eReceipt to earn additional points right away.

Key takeaway: Fetch Shop points are based on how much you spend and may take time to appear, but you may be able to earn extra points instantly by scanning an eligible eReceipt.

eReceipts

eReceipts are digital receipts from your online purchases that can be scanned in the Fetch app to earn points.

How it works
Use the “eReceipt” feature in the app to scan your receipt. Only purchases from participating retailers are eligible.

When to use eReceipts

  • Required for some Linked Offers to earn points.
  • Optional for earning additional points on eligible Fetch Shop purchases.
  • Scanning eligible online orders.

Key takeaway: eReceipts may be required for certain Linked Offers, but for Fetch Shop purchases, they’re optional and can help you earn extra points when eligible.

Summary

  • Linked Offers:  Shop through special links in the app. Some require an eReceipt to earn points, while others credit automatically after a delay.
  • Fetch Shop: Earn points based on your purchase amount at participating retailers. Points may take time to appear, and submitting an eReceipt can add extra points if eligible.
  • eReceipts: Used to earn points on qualifying online purchases. Required for some offers and optional for others.

Common Confusions

“Why didn’t I get points for my Linked Offer?”

  • Some Linked Offers require you to submit an eReceipt to earn points, while others may take up to 14 days to credit automatically. Check the offer details to see which applies.

“Can I earn both Linked Offer points and Fetch Shop points on the same purchase?”

  • No. Linked Offers and Fetch Shop points don’t stack. A single purchase will earn points from one or the other, not both.

“I scanned my eReceipt. Why didn’t I get Fetch Shop points?”

  • eReceipt points and Fetch Shop points are awarded separately. Fetch Shop points are tied to your purchase and may take some time to show up. Scanning an eReceipt only adds extra points if eligible and does not trigger your Fetch Shop points.
